Enjoy a deeply relaxed state, free from stress, tension and worry.  Many experience other very beneficial results from Reiki, a very ancient healing art or modality.  “Rei” means universal or spiritual consciousness and “ki” means vital life force.  In the field of science life force is known as bioplasm, in China as chi, in India as prana and in America as life force or life energy.  Simply put, it is the God-given breath, or energy, which drives our physical beings. 
 
We are healthy during those times when our energy levels are high and flowing freely and uniformly.  But the physical, environmental, emotional, mental, and other stresses in this world restrict our energy flows.  As our energy levels become low, we become very susceptible to “dis-ease.”

Reiki energy, this life force, moves to the problem areas of the body.  Here Reiki adjusts and aligns the chakras and meridians (the energy points and systems of the body).  With Reiki energy the negative and detrimental energies attacking the various parts of the body are removed.  Reiki floods these distressed areas with positive healing energy.  The negative, detrimental energies actually break apart and disperse.  The person performing Reiki is simply a conduit through which the ‘REI’ guides the ‘KI.’

A Reiki session can start a cleansing process that changes the physical body and the mind.  Toxins stored in the body may be released.  Suppressed emotions, stored deep in the body, can so strongly affect our behavior that it sometimes seems spirits possess us.  Reiki may release these suppressed emotions, as if releasing a spirit.  Emotional issues linked to past traumas may also be eliminated, thus releasing the emotional cause of “dis-ease”, facilitating healing of mind, body and spirit.

This energy therapy called Reiki augments and improves the effectiveness of all other types of therapy with no side-effects.  Reiki may help to reduce stress and tension; decrease recovery time from acute illness or injury; strengthen the body’s immune system; aid in healing heart disease, cancer, headache, and impotency; reduce pain and relieve insomnia and so many other conditions and challenges. 

A Reiki session is experienced by some as a warm, relaxing glow and can even increase ones’ individual spiritual intuitiveness and awareness.
